The game stuck in development hell could be getting a fresh reveal this year.

One of the games that I would say is going to be one of the longest that we've ever seen in development since its reveal. It's constantly said to have been cancelled or rumoured to be coming out or rumoured to be re-revealed. and yet we have another rumor saying that the game might be finally ready for a completely new re-reveal with a potential name change and a lot of new features as well as a Nintendo Switch 2 port. It's believed that this could be the end to our waiting woes for Beyond Good and Evil 2 as Attack the Backlog has pulled together a couple of rumors about Beyond Good and Evil 2. Besides confirmation that we know the project is being worked on, we've had that from Ubisoft multiple times over the past few years, Now we have something perhaps a bit more concrete, perhaps pointing towards a reveal at a big event towards the end of this year. We've got two big events left at the end of this year."
"Gamescom, which is coming up in just a few weeks, which will take place in Cologne, which does have a big opening night live presentation, but usually I would say The biggest reveals of the year are saved right until the end when we see the Game Awards.
That is, unless you're talking about GTA 6, which is obviously doing its own thing as we expected during the week of Gamescom. As I say though, it's claimed that the Game Awards is more likely that this is when we will see Beyond Good and Evil 2 re-revealed, because as I say, Gamescom's Opening Night Live is sometimes the place where you see proper big announcements, but it's rarely the case where I'd say you'd see real headline-defining stuff that's going to be years away. Things like big re-reveals, things like The Witcher 4, things like Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet, things like that, things like Star Wars. I can't remember what it's called, Return of the Old Republic or something like that. The New Old Republic game. All of that stuff is Game Awards stuff, whereas like Gamescom Opening Night Live is usually for stuff that's coming out within the next year or so, or like big reveals, or sometimes it's just even talking about games that have come out around that time period and reminding you they exist. But yeah, it's going to be presented at a major event, according to this rumor. But I will say, as Ben does here, that you should take this with a lot of caution, a big pinch of salt, because rumors around Beyond Good and Evil 2 come and go because people just want to see this game. At this point, this game is kind of way bigger than any anticipation really should allow for. I mean, Beyond Good and Evil, I've played the original game, it was a fine game, but I don't think that realistically, considering how long it's spent in development, anything is going to be able to match what people really wanted to see from that initial cinematic trailer. But we'll have to see, as the job is alive, the job, the work is alive as job listings show, and that could mean that within the next few years we are seeing Beyond Good and Evil 2.
