We've been waiting for official confirmation as to what MOB Entertainment, or Mob Entertainment, however you want to call them, will be doing with the future of the Poppy Playtime franchise ever since Chapter 5 arrived earlier this year. Um, it came to PC first, it recently has come to consoles as well."
"But it was all, it was kind of looked at as a conclusion to the Poppy Playtime formula and the Poppy Playtime story. And yet, it did, you know, Poppy Playtime has been so big, that to just say this is the end, it feels kind of unusual really. Now we know that MOB Entertainment are working on a variety of different projects, including spin-offs. Uh, well, as we know, there's lots of rumours and there's lots of suggestions that this is the case. Mob Entertainment officially starts teasing next Poppy Playtime adventure and it doesn't seem to be a new chapter. A Steam page has arrived for a game called Experiment 82626."
"So yeah, now the fifth chapter of Poppy Playtime has launched, we're eagerly awaiting firm news and information in regards to what will be coming next from developer Mob Entertainment. While a now edited LinkedIn page did previously claim Chapter 6 was on the horizon with the seemingly bolstered by planned restructured roles, it's also clear the developer is looking to expand the universe further with a multiplayer title and a fresh IP too. In fact, this was teased to us earlier this year in an interview you can read in full here, where we're told the world is bigger than a single factory could contain. And this is now being proven in practice, as Bob Entertainment has begun teasing a new title that doesn't seem to be a new chapter of Poppy Playtime, but will see a return of the railcar character known as Barry from Chapter 2. A very mysterious Steam page has arrived, which shines a light on a game called Experiment 82626. It's an experience that aims to tap into the horror, survival horror, first person, stealth, comedy and exploration genres. So far, two brief descriptions have been given in relation to the game, with the first stating, What's the time? We're nearly home. The second then adds more about what the game will offer, claiming you must earn your place in our future home. Multiplayer co-op. Poppy Playtime. Canon. Proximity chat. So with this now here, we can expect even more news to be shared in the future. So keep your eye, keep your eye for what comes next from the masterminds behind Poppy Playtime. So yeah, 8.26, Experiment 8.26.26 Again, we're talking very early teasers at this point, very little confirmation or complete details as to what this project is going to be, but I think you can get sort of the gist of it by what they've shared with i.e. multiplayer co-op, proximity chat, Horror, First Person, Stealth, that sort of stuff. I think you can kind of see what they're doing here. It feels to me like they're going to be tapping into that repo, lethal company type situation where people are going to have to work as a unit to go into a very dangerous environment and essentially try to escape with their lives or reach a destination or something. But again, no official confirmation on this point, we just have this information and the very brief original image that shows Barry and the Rail Cars back. But again, if Mob Entertainment is sharing this information now, that means they're getting ready to share more. So stay tuned, keep your eyes peeled, because there will be more information coming about this game. And as for platforms, it's got a Steam page, so you know it's coming to PC.
