"Crimson Desert's exciting plans for 2026 and beyond as we're already getting confirmation that DLC is planned to be out this year. Doesn't Ben look happy here?
Get rid of that just to save him a bit of face. In any case Crimson Desert One of the biggest hits of the year, came out in March, has sold I believe 7 million copies to date. We can actually check by going down here and seeing... Already sold over 6 million copies. I think it's probably near 7 million copies. It sold 2 million copies in the last quarter alone, as announced by Pearl Abyss, Crimson Desert's publisher and developer. Their latest financial figures told us that while Crimson Desert hasn't done as well as it did at launch, Context, Context, Context, Context, Context, Context, Context, Context, Context, Context, Context, It's clear that more Crimson Desert is something that people would definitely be interested in because you've already sold six million copies of it. And we see as we look ahead that the DLC is on its way for late 2026 and we'll be able to hear more about it in the third quarter. Pearl Abyss said the following in its latest financial letter saying, and I quote, Crimson Desert is preparing key initiatives including DLC strategic pricing and platform expansion. to ensure long term success. The DLC is currently under development, scheduled for release this year. While we refine its content direction and overall quality, specific details regarding pricing, content composition and launch timing will be officially announced in Q3 2026. So that's actually not that far away because I believe right now we're in this quarter Q3 and so within the next couple of months you'd probably say you want to hear more about Crimson Desert's DLC because by that point we're getting into late 2026 and the dreaded launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 which probably will take a lot of people's attention away I think from Crimson Desert because they're both very open experiences Massively different settings and stories in X, Y and Z, but I think that the people who want to just get lost in a world would jump perhaps to GTA from Crimson Desert. In any case, as I say though, that's pointless speculation because there was mentioning of a new platform. In there, that platform is the Nintendo Switch 2."
"If you thought, how the hell are you going to get Crimson Desert running on a Nintendo Switch 2? Well, Pearl Abyss have apparently already done it to a point where it's baseline playable. In the case of the Switch 2, the statement reads on the letter of earnings, the game has reached a playable baseline and we are currently conducting technical reviews regarding performance optimization and quality standard compliance targeting release in the first half of next year. So Crimson Desert, or Polar Byss rather, has said that they don't want Crimson Desert just being like a sort of port, a downgraded port for Switch 2, they want it to feel like the original experience with graphical fidelity and all of that good stuff that people really really loved about the original game. Please focus camera, I don't know why it does this all the time. But because it's on auto, because no one thought to switch it for me. But yeah, it freaks out a lot. Anyway, so headline from Crimson Desert, it's coming to Switch 2 next year and it's coming for DLC this year. Two big things to look forward to if you've enjoyed Crimson Desert. Did you enjoy it?
