"You know the story of Jesus Christ.
From his birth and rise to fame, to his crucifixion and rebirth, the tale of Christianity's titular figure is one we've all become familiar with to some degree."

"But what if it played out differently?
What if Jesus became consumed with rage from his treatment, broke free from his torment and unleashed a wave of violent vengeance against the non-believers?
The Dust's upcoming story-driven dark fantasy adventure game, The Inquisitor, looks to explore this alternate reality 1,500 years after Jesus' rampage and conquest of the world."

"Based on the I, Inquisitor book series by author Yasek Picara, this game revolves around the character of Mortimer Madadin, an Inquisitor who serves the Church and imposes God's will.
The narrative picks up as Mortimer is sent to the town of Königstein to solve a variety of cases and to condemn those who have transgressed against the Almighty."

"But his responsibilities don't stop there, as Mortimer will be tasked with uncovering the truth relating to a supernatural evil that is attempting to cross into the realm of the living from another distant and much darker existence.
With a deep and lore-rich story at its centre, The Inquisitor gives you plenty of ways to mould the experience and narrative into your own."

"Described as a morally tainted non-linear tale, this game features branching story choices that aim to put your morality to the test.
It's up to you to decide whether Mortimer is a kind and just law enforcer, or instead whether he is vengeful and apathetic."

"Whichever direction you choose will affect the world and the characters that live within it.
As The Inquisitor serves up a collection of cases and investigations to solve, the Dust has equipped Mortimer with all the skills and techniques necessary to be able to crack even the toughest and most complex crimes and mysteries."

"Between tracking down and interrogating suspects, piecing together evidence and even being able to enter the mysterious Unworld to be able to unearth well-kept and deeper secrets, Mortimer has all the abilities he might need and more, to serve in the name of the not-so-righteous Jesus Christ."

"The Inquisitor is more than just following leads however, as Mortimer will need to flex his critical thinking skills to overcome a variety of puzzles found throughout the game.
With many leading to vital clues to further your investigations, you can expect challenging puzzles at various points throughout the story to keep you on your toes."

"And speaking about keeping on your toes, you'll find that not every civilian is as docile as you might like, meaning you will need to be prepared to pull out your sword and let its steel do the talking.
Here Mortimer can study his foes, find openings and target weak points all to use brute force to loosen the tongue of a particularly hardy suspect."

"Needless to say, there is a lot to be excited for in The Inquisitor and the best part is that you can experience it all for yourself very, very soon, as The Inquisitor will be arriving on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S consoles on February 8th, 2024."

"So, what are you waiting for?
A dark and gritty alternative world is waiting for you to become the ultimate holy judge, jury and executioner."
