Anyone's Diary was among the three indie highlights picked by Rami Ismail at this year's Gamelab, but even before that this different concept had already piqued our interest in Barcelona, and GRTV caught up with programmer and game designer Sara Costa to learn more.

"It's a third-person videogame, which is a weird thing in VR", explains the developer. "It's a puzzle platformer where you can move the character (called Anyone) and you can also move some parts of the world to solve the puzzles and help it to overcome the whole level."

In terms of concept development, the game was meant to be "an origami-style" sidescroller based on the pop-up book idea (as its logo reflects), but after some investigation and testing, it ended up like this fresh concept, which will last for about two hours. In terms of narrative, it's been inspired by Limbo, and thus it's going to tell a subtle, "open story, but we're giving you some steps".

Anyone's Diary started as a student project, it is "really, really early", just 4 months into development, and thus needs "one year, one year and a half" before completion. World Domination Project is currently looking for a publisher to fully realise it. The full video interview includes some direct gameplay captured with the HTC Vive demo.
