Wada mentions FFVII remake

Together with "will World of Warcraft be released for consoles?", one of my biggest pet peeve-questions is "when will we get a remake of Final Fantasy VII". Luckily for everyone that are still wondering about this, while being terribly annoying for me, people keep asking both these questions over and over again. This time, it was Siliconera that asked Square Enix's Yoichi Wada if we'd ever get to see that remake that everybody seems to love to pine over.

"Right now we don't have a clear direction, but many fans have requested we remake Final Fantasy VII. We're going to explore the possibility - whether or not we're going to do it, if we're going to do it, and the platform," he said.

In short, I won't be holding my breath - and that little fanboy inside of you probably shouldn't either.
