We had a talk with Yuliya Ahanava and Alberto Delgado Aparicio from Wargaming Labs, the well-known publisher's initiative that help small developing studios to launch their games. They were present at Gamelab in Barcelona this week to speak to partners and promote themselves, because Wargaming is not just about making war anymore. With Wargaming Labs the company is looking for talented developers that help them to expand their portfolio with creative and unique indie games.
As we talked about what kind of help Wargaming Labs can offer to those small studios, Ahanava respond: "We just want developers [to] know that we can offer them full support from our side, using our own expertise, working with our big titles as World of Tanks and World of Warships. And that means they can get marketing support, customer support, technical support and even complex feedback from our experienced employees. Which can help them to improve their games, because we are looking for games that are in alpha stage or above [so] they have a chance to improve [their game] and make it shining and successful at least."
She later added that Labs does not filter applicants and that every submission will get feedback, so the publishing process is not limited to specific genres, platforms or the like. Wargaming Labs does even invest in mobile games, as they told us during our chat. You can see the full interview in the video below, for more coverage of Gamelab keep your eyes peeled.
