Warner Bros acquires Snowblind Studios

Warner Bros are expanding their stable of developers with Seattle based action RPG specialists Snowblind Studios that were responsible for both Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath.

Snowblind Studios employs about 70 people and it has been fairly quiet since their latest game Justice League Heroes (published by Warner Bros incidentally) was released in 2006.

From their website it can be gathered that they are working on Death Tank (check out the trailer below) for Xbox Live Arcade, but there is no mention of this game in the press release issued with regards to the purchase. However the press release does mention Snowblind's expertise in fantasy action RPG's, so let's hope Warner Bros puts them to work on something along those lines. I've been craving a game similar to Champions of Norrath on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 for a long time. But perhaps it is more likely that they are working on some kind of DC Comics related game. Hopefully we will know what Snowblind are up to soon...
