Here's some good now for all you Wasteland fans out there, especially those among you that didn't get to experience the game on PC when it originally released last September.

Developer InXile has revealed via their Kickstarter page that Wasteland 2: Director's Cut will release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 13, with physical releases following worldwide on October 16. If you've previously purchased Wasteland 2, the Director's Cut will be offered as a free download/upgrade.

The Director's Cut adds a bunch of mechanics to an already jam-packed game, and these include Perks, new personality traits for your squad, expanded voice acting, numerous visual upgrades as a result of the jump up to Unity 5, and extensive rebalancing of the original content.

Finally, InXile has released some screenshots showing off the new version, and you can see these below.

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"From time to time the pace drops away, but for the most part this is an enthralling and engaging role-playing game."
