That's the name of a team, by the way, not actual wolves.

Following their victory against GodLike in the Grand Finals, the Call of Duty: Mobile team Wolves have claimed their place as the 2023 World Champions. They've also taken home the grand prize of $400,000 out of the $1 million prize pool.

During the playoffs, Wolves were clear favourites, managing to beat Kagendra, Stand Point Gaming, PowerHouse, and Tribe Gaming 3-0. The same happened in the semifinals, whereas GodLike had much more difficulty, taking their opponents to battle over 5 maps.

Things weren't so easy in the finals, and GodLike actually started off with a win on Hardpoint. Wolves then followed up with a victory of their own. The series then tied again, leading to a heart-stopping final where Wolves ended the series 3-2.

Even if GodLike didn't take home the grand prize, it was a historic run for Indian eSports, as they proved they could defeat favourites throughout the tournament and even gave Wolves a tough time in the finals.
