Back in 2017 Lizardcube reimagined the original Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap with a new game featuring updated visuals and gameplay, and now Dotemu and Playdigious have revealed that the game will be expanding onto Android and iOS devices on May 30, as well as the Nvidia Shield, costing £7.49 (those who register via the Google Play Store will get a 30% discount though).

Playdigious has optimised the experience for mobiles like the iPhone X, featuring the "full premium experience" fans have already seen, according to the press release. We even have a brand new trailer below to show you how it plays when handheld in this new mobile version.

Of course adjustments are made in certain areas to accommodate for touchscreens, but other than that all the features are there, including the ability to switch between remastered and original visuals and audio, enter retro passwords from the original 1989 game, and the playable debut of Wonder Girl.

Will you play this on mobile?
