Blizzard has announced the World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon Invitational which, as you may have guessed, revolves around the Mythic Keystone dungeons.

Players who want to be in with the chance of competing need to complete a gauntlet of these dungeons, battling increasingly difficult Mythic Keystones and getting high scores on the Proving Grounds. The top scoring of these players will then be invitedto join as one of the 32 worldwide teams for the competition, which will have a $100,000 USD prize pool. This will consist of eight teams each from Europe, China, Americas, and Asia-Pacific.

The Proving Grounds will take place from July 25 to August 8, and this will be the part where players will take on these dungeons. After that time is up, players need to submit their scores using a form that can be found here, and Blizzard will be judging performance across the five dungeons the team gets the highest Keystone Level in during this period.

Then comes The Big Showdown for each region, beginning in September, where a single-day broadcast will determine who can represent their region on the final stage.

Blizzard also provided rules as well, which are as follows:

Keystone levels and affixes will be determined by Blizzard
The first match of each series will take place in a dungeon pre-determined by Blizzard.
Once the final 8 regional teams have been determined, they'll move on to a single-elimination bracket where they'll go head-to-head.

If you're a spectator you can watch the action on Twitch and keep up to date with the competition on the website. Does World of Warcraft have a rich future as an esport?
