The oft-delayed Xcom shooter from 2K Marin may be released as a third-person title rather than as a first person shooter.

According to a report on Kotaku, new screens for the game were released as part of a recent marketing survey. The screens show that 2K are considering a shift in perspective, from first to third, but that is not all that was revealed by the survey.

According to Kotaku's source, 2K are also considering a digital release for the game, downgrading it from a $60 retail game to a $30 digital title.

When questioned, 2K stated: "We have not made any new announcements regarding the XCOM title currently in development at 2K Marin, and it is our policy not to comment on rumors or speculation."
