Following the announcement of the partnered organisations for the 2023 Valorant Champions Tour, we've seen various well known and successful teams left on the wayside, and unsure as to what the future holds for them in the Valorant scene. One of those teams is XSET, who after missing out on partnership, has released a statement announcing that its roster are now restricted free agents, while the team evaluates its position in the competitive Valorant scene.

"XSET family - as most of you already know, XSET didn't get the Riot partnership. Obviously, this was sad news for everyone especially our Valorant team that absolutely crushed it this year!"

"We would like to thank Riot for their consideration and for giving us the opportunity to build such an amazing fanbase over these past two years in Valorant."

"Against all odds, we built a world class roster and we have left our mark on the history of Valorant forever. We want to thank everyone that had anything to do with the game but most importantly our players, coaches Don & Drew, and staff for building something amazing."

The statement continues, "All of our players deserve to be playing in the franchised league and we will be supporting them through that process. BCJ, Ayrin, Dephh, Cryo & Zekken: we love you guys and you will always remain part of the XSET family with whatever the future holds for you!"

Finally, XSET signed off with, "As for the future of XSET Valorant, we will continue competing and winning in VCT Game Changers with XSET Purple and we are evaluating our options for 2023."

The next season of the Valorant Champions Tour will kick off in early 2023, with a Brazilian LAN tournament.
