Xtreme Gaming has withdrawn from the Dota 2 PGL Arlington Major
VISA issues continue to plague the tournament.
It was only yesterday that we reported that Fnatic will be attending the upcoming Dota 2 PGL Arlington Major with three substitute players, due to various team members being unable to secure VISAs to travel to the US to participate. Well now we can add that Xtreme Gaming has entirely withdrawn from the tournament due to the same issues.
As PGL has announced on Twitter, one player's VISA was denied multiple times, and therefore Xtreme Gaming has made the decision to completely pull out of the Arlington Major. There will not be another team taking the organisation's place.
The PGL Arlington Major is slated to kick off on August 4 and will run until August 14, with teams fighting over a $500,000 prize pool, as well as an array of Dota Pro Circuit Points that could become crucial for qualifying for the next The International.
