Yaiba, the mysterious new project by Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune featuring hack 'n slash zombie action has been revealed as Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z.

News came by way of a Team Ninja conference currently ongoing in Japan - Eurogamer's tweeted the news as Team Ninja's taken to the stage to reveal the game fully.

The site states that the game will be a collaboration between Team Ninja and Lost Planet 3's Spark Unlimited, with involvement from Keiji Inafune, and star the franchise's Ryu taking on the undead.

More details as we get them - for now check out the original teaser trailer.

No platforms were mentioned, but the game is in development "for consoles".
