Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is finally out, and it's receiving positive reviews, including our own. One of the major complaints, however, is that the game can seem almost too slow, as there is no option to run or sprint.
But it turns out that actually there is, it's just that developer The Chinese Room simply forgot to inform players of that mechanic. This was recently revealed by The Chinese Room's Dan Pinchbeck in a new blog post:
"There was a mess-up. And we're really sorry about that," he admitted. "We probably should have announced the run button before launch, but we didn't. That was a bad call, and we've paid for it in the reviews,"
Running is achieved by holding down the R2 button to build up speed, however this is not a part of any tutorial, or written anywhere in the game. But at least now we know.
