World of Warcraft: Classic launches today, allowing players to revisit - or experience for the first time - the original "Vanilla World of Warcraft experience". As part of the launch, Gamereactor had the opportunity to interview Omar Gonzalez, who is a senior software engineer at Blizzard and who cleared up some doubts we had regarding the game.
One of those question marks was regarding the possibility of players transferring characters from WoW: Classic to the current Battle for Azeroth game, but as Gonzalez made clear, that won't be possible:
"That's not something we're looking to allow. In terms of gameplay and characters, they are two completely separate experiences. For those who want to play Classic, we want you to play it for the sake of it, and likewise for Battle for Azeroth."
So there you go, no character transfer planned by Blizzard. Keep an eye out for the full interview later today.
